Mr Károly Győri pursued his studies at the Teacher’s Training Institute of the Ferenc Liszt College of Music. Since 1974, for over three decades, he had performed at a variety of unforgettable concerts in Hungary, other European countries, and beyond, as soloist and influential member of the Vujicsics Ensemble. His playing the tambura and the violin in an extraordinarily virtuoso and suggestive fashion has been preserved for posterity in television and radio recordings, recorded theatre performances, and records. As teacher of music, he was loved and respected by the pupils of the Music School in Szentendre, the Music School in Pomáz, and the Art School in Budakalász.
